My daughter, CiVonshe (hence, LoveVonshe) was born with a head full of tight coils. Her hair was always thin in the middle of either sides of her head. I massaged her hair daily with coconut oil to maintain it.

HAIR TROUBLE BEGAN

When she turned 3 months old, her hair in those thin spots started to fall out, creating a bald line in her hair (see photo below). I was determined to do all I could to stop the breakage and regrow her hair, I couldn't just let her beautiful hair fall out and coconut oil was just not enough! So I began massaging the Grow Me Hair Oil into her scalp.

As she gets older, she continues to have the same trouble spots. I learned that certain hairstyles break her hair off e.g I cornrowed her whole head and her hair broke off in those trouble spots (see photo below).

HOW I GROW HER HAIR

I massage for at least 5 minutes the Grow Me Hair Oil into her scalp 2-3 times a day. Find a time when your child will be still for 5 minutes, I do it when my daughter is breast feeding (yes, I am still breastfeeding 1 year and 18 months postpartum lol).

TIPS

  • Everyone has trouble spots. Find it- and pay extra special attention and care with those spots.

  • Learn which styles are harmful to the hair and refrain.

  • Keep hair moisturized and oiled (water adds moisture, oil seals it in)

In my personal experience I found that the following can pull babies hair out:

  • hair ties/ hair bows

  • head bands

  • head coverings when unnecessary

Many parents instinct might be to cover it up, or scrape together a few pieces of hair and accessorize it to make it look attractive. But this could be pulling out their hair! Please let their hair breathe so it can grow. Consistency is key!
