This post contains tips and tricks I have learned over the years that you may want to try.
#1 Drink A Sufficient Amount of Water
The Mayo Clinic recommends drinking 11.5 cups (92 fl oz) for women and 15.5 cups (124 fl oz) for men daily. (read the article) The amount of water you should drink can vary based on weight and health status, so take that into consideration.
#2 The Unexpected Apple Cider Vinegar Tip
Most people will tell you to use ACV as a toner. BUT if you drink one gulp of ACV (40-50% diluted with water) before bed every night, it can help you clear your skin.
#3 Do Not Use A Bunch Of Products
Using a lot of products with active ingredients can cause adverse affects because you do not know how they will interact with each other. It is always best to keep it simple unless otherwise advised by a dermatologist (more than likely they'll prescribe a simple routine as well).
#4 See A Dermatologist
If you can afford to, I always recommend seeing a dermatologist.
#5 Don't Try Everything You See Online
Fun fact: When I was 13, I saw a video online about using toothpaste to get rid of acne...I tried it a few times and it resulted in me getting a chemical burn and made my skin look worse than before☺. LEARN FROM ME and don't do it lol!
#6 Be Patient
Know and understand that obtaining the results you want takes time. Be patient and stay consistent and you will get the results you want.
#7 There Are 1000 Paths That Lead To The Same Door
There are 100 different products and routines you can adopt that will lead you to your skincare goals. Find one and stick to it! Do not continuously change the products you use just because they 'aren't working fast enough'. BE REALISTIC!
#8 Overcome Setbacks
Whatever your setbacks are, and however frequent. Remember that tomorrow is a new day to try again and restart your routine.
#9 The Most Important One Of Them All: REMEMBER TO LOVE YOUR SELF AT EVERY STAGE OF YOUR SKINCARE JOURNEY♥!
Whether or not you are content with your skin, look into the mirror and tell yourself 'I Am Beautiful'. Your mental state has more control on your physical reality than you may think. If you conditionally love yourself (example: I'll think I'm beautiful once I get rid of my dark spots) you'll never truly love yourself because you'll constantly see things you want to improve upon....and keep setting conditions. You are beautiful now.
